We are looking for a PhD candidate (4 year position) to work on cytosolic iron trafficking in symbiotic nitrogen fixation. He/She will use proximity labelling approaches, immunolocalization, protein biochemistry, and metal imaging to study how iron is specifically allocated to symbiosomes. The candidates should have a BSc and and MSc in Biochemistry/Biology/Biotechnology or related areas. Experience in protein biochemistry, plant metal transport, or symbiotic nitrogen fixation is a plus. Fluency in English or Spanish is required.
